A personal look into a life of happiness.

This first blog, is an examination of what a life of happiness consists of, how to achieve a life of happiness, and how to retain and experience growth in a life of happiness, all from my personal viewpoint.

Viewing life from a first person view I've noticed a balance between things in this life, and what I believe also, in the entire universe. I doubt if anything I say is any new revelation to anyone, but if it is I'm glad. I believe this topic has been thought of, and critically analyzed more than anything save for 'what is the meaning of life', or 'what is love'. However, I find this to be intrinsically linked to both, because if one is not happy, how can one love? Or vice-versa.

I've noticed that to be happy essentially means to accept what things are as they are for what things you can, and to look beyond what other things are and to not accept them as they are. For example, say you have a car. The car is static, i.e. it is not moving, but looking beyond that fact you realize it has a potential energy, it has more uses than meets the eye. So do many other things in life.

Here is a quick overview of what things I think is necessary for happiness.
1) Live frugally. Meaning; don't believe you need everything, at the same time do not shorthand yourself what you need. Provide for yourself and loved ones and no matter the amount of money you make, spend it slowly, and don't buy everything.
2) Work hard. No matter the job, whether it's flipping burgers at McDonalds, or excavating for a building, work hard at it. Do it quick, and do it well. Achieve the highest position you can for whatever job you have.
3) Be thankful. Thank your friends, God, family, etc, and count your blessings everyday. No one did everything on their own, at some point in time, somewhere, someone helped you, and don't forget it.
4) Set goals. Set short term and long term goals for yourself, some hard, some easy. By doing this you help give yourself a reason to wake up in the morning and something to smile about at the end of the day.
5) Be clean. Be neat. Be organized. In everything you do, from the way you dress and look, to the way your house looks. Be clean, neat, and organized. It helps to clear up the mind, and gives a great impression to others.
6) Believe. You must believe in yourself, and have faith in what you are doing.
